We helped host the inaugral JLC Hillcrest Literacy Festival on Wednesday and enjoyed selling Scholastic and Koorong books to enthusiastic customers and listening to authors John Heffernan and Nikki Rogers and illustrators Lucia Mascullio and Heidi Parkes. The annual Gold Coast Show was held from the 30 August - 1 September, 2019, and some of our talented Art students entered their artworks into the Gold Coast Show Art Competition. Congratulations to the students who won awards. The winning artworks will be on display in the library until the end of term.

OLIVER LAUNCH PARTY Next Thursday the 29 th of August from 10:30-2 we are holding a Launch Party in the Library to celebrate our new library system Oliver. This system can be accessed via the Hillcrest Library website from any desktop or tablet device, allowing everyone to discover library and learning resources 24/7 in school, from home or on the go. You can login to your own record, check your loans and borrow e-books. WHAT’S ON 5 minute talk showcasing Oliver’s features at 10:30am and every half hour until 1:30pm Follow the Scavenger hunt to discover Oliver and library resources Create and take home a customised Oliver bookmark Celebrate with us

The Golden Ticket Book Reviews are in! Congratulations to the 6 JLC students who read their book and completed a review. All books and reviews are on display in the library. Come in and have read.
